Requiem Mass Celebrated for Frances Anderson

Requiem Mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. for Mrs. Frances Anderson, daughter of a pioneer family at the Node community, John and Ella Pfister. She died January 21 in Long Beach, California.

She was born in Lusk November 13, 1886, and attended grade school near Node. At the age of 14 she went to Junction City, Kan., where she finished high school. She also attended Valparaiso University in Indiana.

In 1905 she married Albert Olson. Three weeks after their marriage he was killed in a train accident. Several years later she married Earl Anderson. He died March 30, 1966.

She had a homestead in Niobrara County and although most of her life was spent in Omaha and Long Beach she considered Wyoming her home and burial was in Lusk Cemetery.

She is survived by her son John; grandson Michael of Long Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Joy of Kaycee and Mrs. Henry Wasserburger Sr., Lusk.

Recitation of the rosary was at 7:30 p.m. January 31 at the Peet Mortuary. Father Terence McGovern officiated at both services.
