She was born August 3, 1926 in Holtville, CA and was married to Leon Bernshouse on August 5, 1949 in Yuma, Az.
She worked in various offices around the valley, most recently having retired from county of Imperial (Treasurer's office). She was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the I.V. Swiss Club, the Pioneers' Museum, as well as being a volunteer at the museum and ECRMC Auxiliary.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Holtville, CA. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents Reinhard and Anna Pfister, sister Norma, brother Benjamin, husband Leon W. Bernshouse (1998).
Anna is survived by her brother, and sister-in-law John and Barbara Pfister; neice, Marianne Pfister (Holville); nephew, Dan (Laura) Pfister, great-nephews Cole and Dawson (Brawley); sister-in-law Lorraine Williams and nieces and great-neices in the San Diego area; numerous cousins both here and in Switzerland and Canada.
The family suggests memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Pioneers Museum.
