Mrs. Verona B. Horn, 83, formerly of 1935 N. 10th St., and a resident of Sunny Ridge the past 1 1/2 years, died there this morning. . She was born May 21, 1904, in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late George and Ann Gutlien Pfister. She was educated at Holy Name Catholic School. On July 21, 1928, she married Oscar Horn at Holy Name Catholic Church. He died May 22, 1957. Mrs. Horn was a licensed practical nurse from 1964 until her retirement in 1974 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She had been previously employed as an LPN at various local nursing homes. Mrs. Horn was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, the St. Anne Christian Mothers Society and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Survivors include four daughters, Sister Joanne Horn of Milwaukee, Mrs. Frederick (Mary) Hofmann of Sheboygan, Mrs. Charles (Georgianna) Hillebrant of Madison and Mrs. Gene (Gerrie) Hastings of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson; one brother, John Pfister of Elmhurst, III.; and one sister, Mrs. Anna Schneider of Appleton. She was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers and four sisters. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, with Rev. William Effinger, pastor, as celebrant. The Mass will be preceded by family rites at 10:30 a.m. at Kroos-Mason-Rettke Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
