MARGARET M GEBHARD

Mrs. Margaret M Gebhard, 87, passed away at the home of her son, Alex, 406 Niagara Ave., Thursday evening following a lingering illness.

Nee Pfister, she was born Feb. 15, 1867, in the town of Charlestown, Calumet County, the daughter of the late John and Victoria Pfister. She attended St. Martin’s school and was married in Charlestown to John Gebhard on June 2, 1891. She was a member of the Mission Society, the Christian Mothers Society and the Third Order of St. Francis of St. Martin’s parish.

Survivors include six daughters, Sr. M. Raphael and Sr. M. Johanilla, both of Chicago, Mrs. Christ (Clara) Nauertz and Mrs. Hugo (Louise) Kolbe of Milwaukee, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Knier of Sheboygan, Mrs. Adalbert (Coletta) Woelfel of Hayton; four sons, Jerome of Sheboygan Falls, Nick and Alex of Sheboygan and Norman of Milwaukee; 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. George Woelfel of Charlestown, Mrs. Anna Munker of Plymouth, and Mrs. Rose Wieseckel of Sheboygan. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at St. Clement’s Catholic Church. The Rev. John J. Carroll will be the celebrant of the requiem high mass and burial will be in the family lot in St. Martin’s cemetery.
