Charlotte Patterson was the middle daughter of Ellis + Laura Wiley Patterson. Her mother, Laura, died in 1908, when Charlotte was 6 years old.
When Laura died, her aunt, Sara Elizabeth "Lizzie" Wiley (FAG#67361512), who had never married, moved in with the family, helping Laura's husband Ellis Patterson raise his three young daughters: Helen, Charlotte, and Frances. In a 1910 census, she is listed as their governess.
A 1920 census shows that Helen and Charlotte are living with their paternal grandparents in Akron, Ohio; Lizzie is still in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and taking care of the youngest sister, Frances Marion. Frances' birth certificate shows her birth date as 8/18/1907.
Eventually, Frances married William Howard and moved to where his family was located in Monongalia County, West Virginia. Frances remarried after William Howard's death. Her second husband was Harry Finley. Frances passed away in 1970 in Akron, Ohio. At this time, her burial location is not known. Frances was the mother of five children.
Oldest sister, Helen, married Clifford Truman Crudginton. The couple resided in Bridgeport, Connecticut and had one son, Donald.
Charlotte married Theodore Seiberling Pflueger in Akron, Ohio on June 17, 1924. They raised their son, Andrew Pflueger, in Southern California.
