Child of John Pierson & Mary Algren. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Army National Guard for 20 years. Survived by a son, John P. Pierson, and a daughter, Karin E. Pierson, both of East Greenwich; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother of the late Clifford and Kenneth Pierson. Died at South County Nursing & Subacute Center. Burial with military honors in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
