On Saturday, 14 February 1953, Americo met his future wife, Amelia, upon her arrival from Switzerland and they were married on Saturday, 24 April 1954, at the Old Mission.
Mr. Poetti is survived by his daughters, Clelia (Poetti) Anderson, Cathy (Poetti) Sherman and Rita (Poetti) Weatherby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Caterina Ermaglia (Bagnaschi) Poletti and Pasquale A. Poletti, wife, Amelia Poletti, brothers, Roy Louis Poletti and Joseph B. Poletti.
