Death cam to one of San Luis Obispo's beloved pioneers Wednesday morning when Mrs. Anna Poletti passed away at the age of 60 years.
A native of Switzerland, Mrs. Poletti had come to this country as a young woman, making her home in the East Santa Fe district where she has resided for the past 38 years.
Wife of the late James P. Poletti, who died two and a half years ago, Mrs. Poletti was well and favorably known throughout the county as a woman of splendid character and kindly disposition.
Deep grief will be felt by the many who had known and loved her, and sincere sympathy of the entire county will go out to the sons and daughters who survive.
Those left to mourn her passing include one son, A.P. Poletti; three daughters, Mrs. Louis Stornetta, Mrs. George Christensen, and Mrs. John Christensen, Jr., all of San Luis Obispo, and two sisters, one in Switzerland and the other in France.
The children of Mr. Poletti are among San Luis Obispo's best known and respected citizens and their sorrow will be shared by scores of family friends.
Funeral services will be announced later.
