Luella Decker, 97, a longtime area resident and most recently of Leeds, NY, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY.
Born on February 14, 1913, in Dorchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine (Waite) Pond.
Luella married Clarence Decker and he predeceased her in 1970.
She is survived by a daughter; Peggy DiMare of Quincy, MA, and her children; Dominick and Salvatore, a son; Donald Decker of Poughkeepsie, NY, a son; Clifford Decker and his wife Carol of Milan, and there children; Timothy and Tammy, a son; Kenneth Decker and his wife Erika of Milan, and there children; Craig, Jennifer, and Dwane, a son; Phillip Decker and his wife Diane of Leeds, NY and there children; Rhodella, Christine, Sandra, Rebecca, and Phillip, Jr., a daughter; Jacqueline Speed and her husband, Rodney of Leeds, and there children; Sonia, Amy, Clarice, Renee, Wendy, and Josh, a son in law; John Culich ( husband of predeceased daughter; Faith Culich) and there children; Kevin and Brian, five additional grandchildren (children of predeceased daughter and son in law; Beulah and Lee Combs); Marcia, Jay, Todd, Brad and Joel, a brother; Norman Pond of Tennessee, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and two daughters, she was predeceased by a son; Clarence Decker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Rhinebeck, NY. The Rev. Frank L. Cirone will officiate. Burial will be at Rock City Memorial Cemetery, Rhinebeck.
