Iona H. Prince, 95, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with burial in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Dr. Stanley Roberts will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. to service time on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 511 High Street, Macon 31201 or to your favorite charity.
Mrs. Prince, wife of the late James McKennis Prince, was born in Junction City the daughter of the late William Jefferson Hesters and Elsie Morgan Hesters. She was a graduate of Talbot County High School and was a devoted homemaker. Mrs. Prince was a member of First Baptist Church of Christ where she was also a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Forest Hills Garden Club, Civic Woman's Club, Macon Exchangetts and AARP Chapter 1617. Mrs. Prince was the sister of the late Louise Sheridan and M. J. Hesters.
