Mrs. Nellie Jo Prince Bledsoe, age 78 of Franklin, Georgia passed away at the Carrollton Nursing and Rehab in Carrollton, Georgia on Sunday, March 17, 2013.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bledsoe were conducted on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. from the Centralhatchee First Baptist Church with the Reverends Mark Williams and Danny Parks officiating. The interment followed in the church cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers were Seth Parks, Jason Hahn, Leland Chandler, Andrew Hahn, Larry Norwood, and Elvis Shelnutt. Mrs. Bledsoe's brother-in-law, Leon Buttrum was an honorary pallbearer, and her great grandchildren, Ethan Hahn Zackary Hahn, Hunter Parks, David Paul Chandler, Troy Chandler, Madison Parks, and Mackenzie Parks served as honorary attendants.

Mrs. Bledsoe was born in Franklin, Georgia on June 19, 1934, the daughter of the late William Joseph Prince and Fannie Lee Bussey Prince. She was an active member of the Centralhatchee First Baptist Church, and in younger years was the owner of Shawn's BBQ and gas station. People came from far and near to have "Miss. Nellie's " good cooking and a healthy dose of her good hearted humor.

Until her health declined she was a constant attendee of the Heard County Senior Center where her ready smile and sweet disposition added much to each of the members lives. She loved traveling, and was especially fond of the Senior Dances. She was a wonderful mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Deborah and David Parks of Roopville, GA.; three grandchildren, Shawn and Jason Hahn of Franklin, GA., Rhiannon and Leland Chandler of Roopville, GA., and Seth and Cassie Parks of Roopville, GA.; one sister, Nancy and Leon Buttrum of Newnan, GA.; and eight great-grandchildren.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Troy Bledsoe; two sisters, Nava Leene Norwood, and Norma Jean Prince; and two brothers, Norman and Newman Prince.
