Esther M. Pruden age 69 of Waconia passed away on Monday April 22, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.
Memorial Service held on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Waconia Moravian Church (209 East Second Street) Waconia; visitation Friday 4-8 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church; interment Zoar Moravian Cemetery, Laketown Twp.
Esther was born on June 5, 1943 in Corning, New York the daughter of Otto and Mary Ann (Blodgett) Hanson. On May 19, 1962 Esther was united in marriage to Arthur Pruden at Grace Methodist Church in Corning, New York.
Esther loved to play cards with her family or with her card club that she belonged to for over 30 years. She was gifted at playing the accordion, which she would play at holiday gatherings. Esther enjoyed going to the cabin, fishing, reading, crocheting and knitting to pass her time. She treasured being with her family and going to lunch with her friends.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband Arthur; parents Otto and Mary Ann Hanson; brothers Arne Hanson, Eugene Olson and John "Tommy" Hanson; sister Margaret Garcia; sisters-in-law Thyrzan Hanson and Ann Olson; brother-in-law Armando Garcia; nephew Sam Hanson.
Esther is survived by her loving family: sons and daughters-in-law Gregg and Diane Pruden of Waconia, Todd and Laura Pruden of Waconia; daughter and son-in-law Angel and Jason Gustafson of Waconia; grandchildren Joshua Pruden, Jessica and Brad Wendorff, William Pruden, Tucker Pruden; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
