Helen Sherrard, 94, passed away Wednesday April 22, 2009 at Fountain West Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at Westover Funeral home at 1 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2009 with burial following at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Helen was born September 28, 1914 in Granger, Iowa, to Mary and Burl Andrews. She was employed as a clerk in Des Moines City Hall and was the book-keeper for "Heaven to Seven" children's clothing store for many years until her retirement.
She is survived and fondly remembered by her sisters Mildred Leonard, Ojai, CA , and Connie (Ed) Winger, Urbandale; her step-children, Diane (Curt) Reams, Sunrise Beach, MO, Myra (Howard) Randles, Ames, IA, David Sherrard, Jr., Urbandale; five step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands Shirley Prugh and David Sherrard and by her daughter, Shirley Ann Prugh and by her siblings Wayne Andrews, Dorris Nelson and Bill Andrews.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Remembrances may be made to Juvenile Diabetes, Local Chapter.
