She was born on Oct. 19, 1900.
She had resided on the Rand Smith Farm west of Seneca for a period of time in the early 1960's after the death of her husband, Lewis Barnes. The couple had operated a dairy farm in the Kansas City area from 1936 until 1960.
She is survived by sons, Ralph Rand of Sande Springs, OK, Paul Barnes of Pomoray, WA and daughters, Carol Smith of Raytown, MO and Betty Farrier of Lake Havasue City, AZ.
She is the sister of the late J.J. Rand and William Everett Rand of Seneca.
Burial was in the Seneca Cemetery on Sept. 10.
