Eleanor Jeanne Phipps Raulston

Our beloved, Eleanor Jeanne Phipps Raulston went to be with her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, January 21, 2007, just shy of her 75th birthday.

Graveside service is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at New Haven Cemetery at Dimple in Red River County with the Rev. Othoe Stegall officiating.

Visitation is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home.

She was born Jan. 29, 1932 on a snowy day in Bogata, a small community outside of Paris, when a bushel of Collard Greens was the doctor's preferred choice of payment. A Clarksville High School Graduate, she married Bill Raulston on July 3, 1949. They were very active at their home church, The Paris Church of God on Bonham St. where their children were married and grandchildren were dedicated to the Lord. She attended Paris Church of God since 1969 and worked at The Shoe Palace and then Famous Shoe Store until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Billy Max Raulston; her parents, Vera and Vaudie Phipps; her brothers, Kenneth Phipps, Clay Phipps, Noris Phipps and sisters, Doris Phipps Thomas, and Geraldine Phipps Hester.

She leaves to share cherished memories by her sons, Bruce Raulston and wife, Karie, of Paris, Gary Raulston of Moscow, Texas; daughter, Debbie Walch and husband, Lou, of Corpus Christi. Grandchildren that will forever hold her dearly in their heart, Chuck Barnes of Midland, Angie Raulston of Dallas, Cade Raulston, Morgan Ables Summer and husband, Randy, of Corpus Christi, Billy Max Raulston of Livingston, Alexandria Ables, Kara Raulston, Ashley Walch of Corpus Christi, Kyle Raulston, Cort Raulston, and Coda Raulston. She is also survived by sister-in- laws, Peggy Phipps of New Boston and Avanell Walls of Paris, caregivers, Brandy and Ebony.

A Woman of God, an amazing mother, a wonderful aunt and the best grandmother anyone could ask for. Loved by countless friends, whom she also considered family. She will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers are family members.
