Betty J. Beckner, 76, of Chalybeate KY passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Bowling Green. The Edmonson Co. native was born May 8, 1937 in Edmonson Co. to the late Clyde Noah Ray and the late Beulah Ellen Renfro Ray. She was manager at Garden Plaza Hotel in Oak Ridge, TN and assistant manager at Jr. Food Store. She was a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Beckner of Chalybeate; one step son, Phillip Beckner of Tennessee ; one step daughter, Patty Montgomery (Richard) of Tennessee; several step grandchildren; two brothers, Danny Ray (Janelle) of Chalybeate and Luther Ray (Charlotte) of Chalybeate; two sisters, Ruth Hawkins (Junior) of Brownsville and Carole Sanders of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Clydene Ray.

Burial will be in the Hawkins Cemetery with Bro. Ronald Renfro officiating.
