JoAnn Ray Arnold, 63, of Springfield, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 at 6:12 p.m. at her home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 4 – 8 p.m. with prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Carey and Son Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements. JoAnn Ray Arnold, 63, of Fair Drive, Springfield, passed away at 6:12 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at her home after an illness. She was born on Sept. 30, 1951, in Louisville to the late Charles Herbert and Emma Watts Ray. She was a member of the St. Dominic Catholic Church, a graduate of Seneca High School and a homemaker. Preceding her in death was a brother, Charles Ray. Survivors include her husband, Joe Arnold; one son, Kenny Long of Springfield; two daughters, Leslie Ann Arnold of Louisville and Kimberly Jo Arnold of Springfield; a grandchild, Madison Ray Long and four sisters, Dorothy May of Louisville, Mary Irene McCombs of Springfield, Patty Jane Barker (George) of Largo, Fla., and Paula Higdon of Louisville.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, at the St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. Culpepper Elliott, the church pastor, officiating. Burial was in the St. Rose Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Ben Ray, Johnathon Barlow, Joshua Barlow, Jordan Barlow, Dillian Phelps, Matthew Puckett, Shane Puckett and Tapley Strossner. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Carey & Son Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements. Funeral Home
