Rev. Royal A. Simons of Orland will assist Rev. H.H. Allen of Trinity Methodist Church at the services, and Silver Oak Circle 203, Neighbors of Woodcraft, will hold memorial services in the chapel. Burial will follow in Chico Cemetery.

Deering, beloved, pioneer resident of Chico for over 40 years, were held yesterday at Nugent Funeral Home. Claimed last Monday morning at her Locust Street home, Mrs. Deering was laid to final rest amid a profusion of beautiful floral offerings and in the presence of hundreds of friends.
Rev. H.H. Allen, pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church, officiated, assisted by Rev. Royal A. Simons of Orland. Silver Oak Circle, 203, Neighbors of Woodcraft conducted the memorial rites, paying respect to her long years of service to that organization.
Mrs. Ruth Jones sang Safe in the Arms of Jesus and It Is Well With my Soul. She was accompanied by Mrs. D.D. Erwin.
Burial followed in Chico Cemetery, beside her late husband, Clarence E. Deering, who died four years ago.
Pall bearers were W.E. Rothe, A.A. Fanno, Norman Foster, E.A. Elliott, E.J. Pierce and C.B. Henninger.
