The Gettysburg Times May 17, 1934

Mrs. Sara Jane Bishop, 83, widow of James Bishop, Civil War veteran, who died exactly three months ago, passed away at the home of her son, Frank Bishop, Cumberland township, near Greenmount, at 6:30 this morning of a heart condition and complications, following an illness of six weeks.
Mr. Bishop died February 17.
Mrs. Bishop was a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan Hiedler Reeves, and was born and always lived in Adams county. she spent the greater part of her life in Fairfield and vicinity. for the past three months, she resided with her son.
Surviving are one son, Frank Bishop, Cumberland township; three daughters, Miss Ada Bishop, Cumberland township; Mrs. Charles Bishop, Mechanicsburg; and Mrs. Alora Pepple, who resides with her brother, Frank, and by two grandsons.
Mrs. Bishop was a life long member of St. John's Reformed church, Fairfield.
Funeral services Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at St. John's Reformed Church, Fairfield, the Rev. Howard Koons officiating. Interment in the Fairfield cemetery.
