VERDA G. HEINEMANN, age 83, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Conewago Township, York, died Tuesday morning at North East Florida Community Hospice, Jacksonville. She was the wife of the late John H. Heinemann, Jr.

Born December 2, 1923 in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Melvin and Maggie Reeves, she was a homemaker, and had worked in steel plants during WWII. She was a member of Quickel Lutheran Church, York and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Mrs. Heinemann is survived by a son, Jack E. Heinemann, and his wife Margaret, of Jacksonville; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Dissinger of Highspire.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard W. Heinemann. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday at William E. Little Funeral Homes, 60 South Main Street, Manchester, with The Rev. Laverne E. Stough, officiating. Viewing will be 12:00 PM.
