Age 70 of Canton - Richard Paul Ciolfi died at Caritas St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Brighton, after a brief illness.

Born in North Attleboro on Aug. 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Eleuterio and Mary (DePrete) Ciolfi, and had resided in Canton for over 55 years.

Brother of the late Frank Ciolfi and Arthur Ciolfi.

Mr. Ciolfi had retired from Masoneilan Dresser, where he had been employed as an electrician for over 20 years.

Mr. Ciolfi had served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and received the Army Occupation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the Beatty Post, American Legion in Canton.
He had attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta M. “ Chickie” Ciolfi; his daughters, Mary A. and her husband, Joseph Kent, of Canton, Pamela J. and her husband, Thomas Walker, of Norton, Suzanne M. and her husband, Thomas Ross, of North Dighton, and Barbara Ciolfi of Canton; his sons, Richard P. Jr. and his wife, Janice (Reddy) Ciolfi of Millis, David G. Ciolfi of Canton, and Lawrence J. and his wife, Patricia (Heap) Ciolfi, of Scituate.

Also survived by his sister, Anne Decembrele of Canton; and his brother, Frank Ciolfi of Norwood; 19 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Interment at the Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
