M. Alice Hutt SAN DIEGO, CA M. Alice (Reilly) Hutt, 94 years old of San Diego, CA, formerly of Pembroke and Braintree, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born in Weymouth, was raised and educated in Quincy schools, and was a graduate from Quincy High School. She had lived in San Diego for twenty-eight years, previously living in Pembroke, and earlier in Braintree. When asked what Alices occupation was, her children replied, She was the best mother in the world. Alice was very active, played bingo and traveled as often as possible with her late husband as well as children. She had visited Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Ireland and Mexico. She recently attended her grandsons wedding in North Carolina in July. She enjoyed the warm weather and walking. She walked six miles everyday around Mission Bay, CA until she was 85 years old. Beloved wife of the late Lewis J. Hutt. Devoted mother of Carol A. Guard of San Diego, CA, Janice Hutt Randolph and her husband Harold of Braintree, James L. Hutt of Lakeville and San Diego, CA, and twins Kathleen G. Savoy and her husband Edward of Clayton, NC, and Gail M. Estes and her husband Stephen of Clayton, NC. Survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Sister of Edna Pollard of San Diego, CA. Sister-in-law of Rita Murphy of Woburn and Anne Hutt of Walpole. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of 68 years of Mae Woodbury of Braintree. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Ave., Quincy, Friday, February 6th at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, North Quincy at 10 oclock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, 5-8 p.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
