BLACKSTONE - Joan M. (Reilly) (Irza) Broadmeadow, 81, of Sun City Center, FL, formerly of Blackstone, passed away on December 29, 2016 in Blackstone at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Jill and Thomas Panu, where she was being cared for during her illness. She was the wife of the late Stephen P. Irza, as well as the late Joseph E. Broadmeadow. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Marie I. (Leclair) Reilly.
She worked as a telephone operator for many years. Joan loved traveling and was fortunate to see many parts of the world. Most of all she was a devoted and loving mother.
Joan is survived by four children, Stephen T. Irza (Anne Irza-Leggat) of Concord, MA, Jo-Anne Vadeboncoeur (Vincent) of Blackstone and Jill Panu (Thomas) of Blackstone, and David Irza of Wakefield. MA; as well as five grandchildren, James and Charlie Irza-Leggat, Victoria Vadeboncoeur, and Kayla and Nicholas Panu. She is predeceased by her son Kenneth Irza and her brother John C. Reilly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10 AM in St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 - 7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
