Irma Katherine Adams, 89, passed away on Tuesday August 10, 2010 at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston. Dannel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 16, at Grace Lutheran Church in Denison with Pastor Michael Mattil officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the church before the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for visitation.
Irma was born in Breckenridge, Okla., on April 5, 1921, to Albert and Hattie (Sattelmeier) Reinhardt. She was educated in the public schools of Breckenridge, Okla. She married Hurl P. Adams on October 30, 1941, in Enid, Okla. They had enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage when he passed away October 23, 2001.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, two sons, Paul Adams and James Adams; one brother Albert Reinhardt and six sisters, Selma McClellan, Norma Wiechman, Alma Leverich, Doris Brannon, Betty Robertson and Arlene Koehn. She is survived by her son David Adams and wife Naomi of Topeka, Kan.; daughters-in-law, Karen Adams of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Lisa Adams of Katy: nine grandchildren, Paul (Jan) Adams, Jr., Kassie (Christopher) Esget, Ryan Adams, Katie (Matt) Jepson, Collin Nowak, Lauren Nowak, Andrea (Michael) Howard, Amber (Zach) Lufkin, Alisha Adams; and 5 great-grandchildren, Dylan and Brayden Howard, Gideon, Rosemary, and Vincent Lufkin.
