AGED VALLEY WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Joseph Bernardoni Sr. 78, a resident of Spring Valley for many years, died Friday at 12:10 in St. Margaret's hospital, where she had been a patient since last Saturday.
Mrs. Bernardoni, the former Della Ricci, was born August 23, 1879, in Modena, Italy. In 1901 in Italy she was married to Joseph Bernardoni, who died in June, 1951, a few months after the couple had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
The decedent had been ailing for the past few years.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Preston (Helen) Kinder, a son Louis, both of Spring Valley, and a son Joseph, rural route, Spring Valley. There are also eight grandchildren surviving.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and eight children.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday from the Riva funeral home to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, where the Rev. Nicholas Blanc officiated at the 2 p.m. services. Burial was in Mt. Olivert cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mario Ballerini, Louis Riva, Albert Pawlak, Gilbert Soedler, Italo Benvenutti and Joe Smith.
