Beverly Ann Marshall was born on March 22nd, 1943 in Ventura County, CA, the daughter of Homer Lawrence and Frankie Lee (Rhoades) Rideout. The family relocated to the Glenpool area and it was from here that Beverly graduated high school and attended business college. Beverly worked for years at Clothier and Company Accounting Services of Muskogee. She loved people and enjoyed her work immensely. Never one to sit down, Beverly continued working during off hours. Beverly was a devout and dedicated Christian that called First Lutheran Church of Tahlequah home. She devoted her time and her talent to LWML, worked with the children, and served as a counselor for years at Camp Lutherhoma. She had a way about her that immediately put you at ease and let you know you were in the hands of a woman that deeply loved and cared for those around her, especially her church family at First Lutheran. She loved to travel and was famous for her quote of "lets take a little trip!", some of which lasted for hours! She was very artistic and enjoyed expressing her art in pastels, charcoal, and oils. There was always time for a square dance. She liked going to the kitchen to make her family and friends comfort food such as macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, meatloaf, and the best stuffing and baked beans. Beverly was so proud of her family. She adored every moment that spent with them digging for crystals, trout fishing on the roaring river, or taking an educational trip. She married Robert Neal Marshall in 1978 in Tulsa, OK. Together they raised one daughter, Kimberly, and shared the joys of day to day life until Bob's passing in 1994. She continued working in Muskogee and spending as much time as possible with her grandsons, Chris and Cortland. The Lord called Beverly home from her earthly labors and cares on July24th, 2014 at her home in Tahlequah, OK. Beverly was 71 years old. The pain of her sudden departure is with her many family and friends, but rest assured, Beverly rests with the Lord and Saviour she served all of her days.
Beverly is preceded in death by her father Homer in 1996, her husband Bob in 1994, her brother, Homer Rideout in 2012, and her beloved mother, Frankie in April of 2014.
Those left to cherish the memory of Beverly include her daughter, Kimberly Diane Prince and husband Chris of Broken Arrow, OK. She leaves two sisters and one brother, Elaine Crabtree and husband George of Glenpool, OK, Rebecca Loyd of Tulsa, OK, and Tracy Rideout and wife Betty of Twin Hills, OK. Her legacy lives on in her two grandsons, Chris Allen Prince II and Cortland Aaron Prince both of Broken Arrow, OK. Beverly will be fondly remembered as well by her nieces, nephews, cousins, very special friends, Robert and Debi Clothier of Wagoner, OK, and her many friends and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Domestic Violence Intervention Services, Inc. at 4300 S. Harvard Ave., Tulsa, OK 74135 or online at www.dvis.org.
