Velma D. Bubar The death of Velma Dolly Bubar formerly of Gordonsville occurred on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Lansdowne Special Care Home. Born January 19, 1925 in Belfast, Maine she was the daughter of the late Albert and Bessie (Clark) Rideout. She is also predeceased by her husband Edmund, 1 son, Brian, 10 siblings, Edna, Merlin, Ellery, Hilton, Francis, Elsie, Geraldine, Ruth, Emma and Viola.
Velma is survived by her 2 children, Keith Bubar (Tracy Martin), Carolyn Lilly (Roger); 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother, George Rideout and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Eldon Caldwell will officiate. Interment will be in the Gordonsville Community Cemetery at a later date.
