Lucy's father was Col. David Robbins and her mother was Molly West (1776-1808). They were both from Rochester, Massachusetts and removed to Montpelier with the rest of their West and Robbins families in about 1795. The story goes that Col. Robbins was the first merchant in Montpelier, building a structure and doing business in 1796. This structure is later bought by the Quakers and used as their meeting house.
Lucy marries Samuel Alden in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 25, 1819. Lucy probably removes to Ohio with the rest of the West family about 1808. The location of her parents death place is unknown, but probably on the way to Ohio.
