Obituary published in The Gospel Messenger, February 11, 1911, page 94:

Brower, Sister Catharine, nee Robbins, born in Miami County, Ind., May 14, 1852, died Jan. 24, 1911, at her home at Egeland, N. Dak., aged 58 years, 8 months and 10 days. The immediate cause of her death was paralysis and a complication of Bright’s disease and liver complaint. She was united in marriage to Bro. Joseph Brower Dec. 21, 1871. She was a faithful wife and a true and loving mother. She united with the church in her early life, and was truly a “living epistle read of all men.” About five years ago she suffered a severe stroke of paralysis, and has been an almost helpless invalid since that time. But in all her affliction she was never heard to murmur or complain, but always expressed willing submission to the Father. A few weeks prior to her death she was anointed and spoke of her peaceful readiness to die. She leaves an aged, sorrowing companion and eight children. Services at the home by Bro. George Stevens. Text, Isa. 38: 1. Her body was taken to Roann, Ind., for burial. – Alice Stevens, Egeland, N. Dak.
