She was born in Asbury Park and lived here three years. She was the widow of James Aken.
For 15 years she lived in Glendale, Md., where she was executive housekeeper at Glendale Hospital.
Mrs. Aken had attended Episcopal Trinity churches in Rome, N.Y., and Cranbury.
Mrs. Aken was a 1924 graduate of Elmira College, Elmira, N.Y. She was a member of the Little Theater Group of Dover.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leigh Broin of Middletown; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Hudgins of Dover; three grandsons, and a nephew.
