Gertrude "Trudy" Roberts Felts Gertrude "Trudy" Roberts Felts, age 87, longtime Drexel Hill resident, passed away on September 24, 2012.
Beloved wife of the late Roy V. Felts. Trudy was born in Phila., Pa and was a 1943 graduate of Upper Darby High School. After high school she was employed at Wagner-Taylor Insurance, before leaving to raise her family. In 1973 Trudy was hired at Burke Marketing Research until her retirement in 1984. This allowed her to spend more time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
She was a devoted mom and grandmom. Trudy also enjoyed crafting, gardening, and dancing at the senior center. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Lansdowne Swim Club, Aldan Women's Club, and the Upper Darby Alumni Committee. Survivors: Loving mother of Susan (Barry) Stevenson of Norwood, PA and Nancy (Timothy) McHugh of Ridley Park, PA. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Jaclyn, Jamie, and Brett.
Life Celebration: Relatives and friends are invited, Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, 9:30 to 11 AM in St. Paul's Church, 50 E. Plumstead Ave., Lansdowne, PA 19050 and funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Interment: Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers: donation in Trudy's name may be made to St. Paul's Church at the above address.
