28 March 1950: Mrs. Jennie H. Atkins, nee Roberts, a native Lebanonian, died this morning at the home of her son, Druggist John W, Atkins, with whom site resided at 737 East Madison Street, Lancaster, for the past ten years. She was aged 85 years. Mrs. Atkins was the widow of Harry T. Atkins, and a daughter of the late Tobias and Mary (Walt) Roberts. She belonged to the Centenary Methodist Episcopal Church, Lebanon, and the Home Department of the Sunday school. Surviving are two sons, John W. Atkins, Lancaster, and LeRoy R. Atkins, Gary, Indiana; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. [Lebanon Daily News]
