Florence Anna Geldert Chaney, 89 passed away Tuesday January 20, 1998 of natural causes at Hillsdale Manor Convalescent Hospital in San Mateo. Florence was a lifetime resident of Burlingame and San Mateo.
She was a Sunday School teacher and longtime member at Shoreview Baptist Church, and a longtime member of Unity Church in San Mateo, was the Senior Dance coordinator for the Beresford Recreation Center of San Mateo and was a member of the Peninsula China Painters Association.
Florence is survived by her loving daughters, Dawn O'Hern (Robert) and Lorna Toti (Tom) of San Mateo; brother Ian Robertson; sisters, Audrey Coates, Heather Geddes and many nieces and nephews all of Australia; five grandchildren, James O'Hern of Santa Rosa, Deborah Wilson, Sandra Pierucci, William Toti of San Mateo, and Pamela Quasney of San Carlos; six great grandchildren, Kenneth, Robert, James, Michael, Victoria and Nicole. Florence was preceded in death by her husbands Clarence Allen owner of Allen's Market Broadway, Burlingame and husband O'Day Chaney of Ad-O-Lith Services Inc., San Mateo and her brother hector Robertson of Australia.
Services will be held on saturday, February 7 at 2:00 pm at the Neptune Society Mission Chapel located at 1645 El Camino in Belmont.
