Jeanette E. Babbitt, 98, born May 20, 1918, in Riley Township, Clinton County, MI, passed away July 24, 2016, in Charlotte, MI. Jeanette was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School; member of Wacousta Community United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Neighborhood Society and Eagle Cemetery Society. She was a life member and past matron of Wacousta O.E.S. Chapter 133 and past officer of White Shrine of Ionia.

Jeanette is survived by her sons, Vernon and Melvin (April) Babbitt, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Lewis.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with interment to follow at Wacousta Cemetery, Watertown Township, Clinton County. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, July 27th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with O.E.S. services to be conducted at 7:30 P.M. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeanette to Wacousta Community United Methodist Church.
