She married Joseph Abler on January 17, 1947 and he survives her.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church; served as a Girl Scout leader for many years and was an excellent cook and baker.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Joseph (Joy) Abler, Jr., Saginaw, Edward Mark (Sharon) Abler, Midland, Karl Lee Abler, Saginaw and Cindy Marie (Ronald) Johnson, Skidway Lake; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Abler, Kerri Sue (Shaun) Abler-Miller, Jamie Lynn (Adam) Mood, Angie Marie (Delfino) Macias and Ronald Neil (Rachel) Johnson, Jr.; seven great grandchildren, Devin Mark, Ariel Gabriel, Abigail Rose and Bradley Carson Abler-Miller, Alexander Nathaniel, Kaleb Michael and Kameron Norman Johnson and one brother, George Rose, Cross Village.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Rose.
The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2005 at St. John Lutheran Church, 915 Federal at Second. The Rev. Paulette Cummings will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at W. L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
