Alice Lyons Rose, age 80, of Oneonta, Alabama passed away at her residence on January 14, 2014. Born in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Eva Early Lyons. She is also preceded in death by husband, Robert Preston Rose.
Mrs. Rose is survived by daughters, Marcia Rose Korda (George) of Knoxville, TN, Sharon Rose Murphree and Laura Rose Fisher both of Oneonta; grandchildren, David M Korda (Kristi) and Shannon Korda Stewart (Cap) both of Knoxville, TN, James Fisher, Preston Murphree and Andrew Murphree all of Oneonta; great grandchildren, McKenna Ramsey Korda, Elijah Alexander Korda and Elanor Eva Stewart; sisters, Evelyn Norris, Dorothy Capps and Eva E. Eller all of Birmingham; and a host of nieces and nephews. Bro. Bill Barnett will officiate a memorial service on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1PM from the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home with entombment at Oak Hill Mausoleum.
