"Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie Rose, Lawrence County's only fatality of last week's below-zero weather, were held Monday at Smyrna. Mrs. Rose who lived alone on Moulton 4, died about one o'clock last Thursday afternoon. Neighbors had found her sitting by a fireplace in the house, her feet frozen to the floor. They wrapped her in warm blankets, but she died a few moments later. She was 90 years old."
