CROWN POINT -- Frances E. Ross, 83, of Crown Point, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at Heritage Commons Residential Healthcare in Ticonderoga, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Myron and Mary (Rounds) Bennett. Frances loved her family and flowers. She spent hours upon hours tending her gardens, watching her birds and listening to country music. She loved arts and crafts and spending time with family; playing cards and scrabble with all who visited. She never missed her grandchildren's sporting events. Family and flowers were her joys in life.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 39 years, Donald C. Ross; one son, Albert L. Ross; one granddaughter, Michelle L. DuShane; two sisters, Evelyn McDonald and Ora Maxam; one brother, Ivan Bennett; and several in-laws.
Frances is survived by two sons, Larry Ross and his wife Pam of Altona, Michael Ross and his wife Lynn of Crown Point; two daughters, Carol Pritt and her husband Ron of Willsboro, Teresa Primo and her husband Spence of Hinesburg, Vt.; nine grandchildren, Donald Foote, Tina O'Hara, Keith Ross, Jeffrey Ross, Cory Ross, Kristen Ross DeWilde, Sharon Primo, Lisa Primo and Robert Primo. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ross Funeral Home, 2586 Route 11, Mooers. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Ross Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Crown Point.
Arrangements are in the care of the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers.
