June Louise Rummel Anderson, 87, of Mount Airy, N.C., formerly of Lima, died Feb. 14, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County.

She was born June 27, 1922, in Lima to William C. and Clara Wright Rummel, who preceded her in death. Her devoted husband, Ed Anderson, survives.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was a resident of Golden Living Center.

Survivors also include two sons, William S. Anderson, of Mount Airy, N.C., and Alan J. (Cathy) Anderson, of Cana, Va.; three grandchildren, Deanna M. Berrier, Andrew S. Anderson and William S. Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Abby M. Anderson, Lucas A. Berrier and Cody Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Claire J. Butler.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher M. Anderson.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Airy, N.C. Dr. Steve Lindsley will officiate. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
