Luria Estelle Gregory, age 90, of Portland, passed away July 13, 2008, at Highland Manor. She was born in Jackson County on August 23, 1917, to the late Robert and Ada Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Gregory [buried here also]; children, Helen Marie Gregory [buried here also], Robbie Nell Gregory [buried here also]; grandchildren, Dale Uhls, Brian Young; great grandchildren, Christian Jones, Samantha Shore. She is survived by her daughters, Florine Uhls of Franklin, Ky., Peggy Ard of Franklin, Ky., Judy Russell of Franklin, Ky., Patricia Wright of Gallatin; sons, Ralph Gregory of Portland, Steve Gregory of Gallatin; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Patty Lawson of Franklin, Ky. Visitation will be 5 p.m., until 9 pm., Monday, July 14, 2008, and 12 p.m., until 9 p.m., Tuesday. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Russell and Don Wright officiating. Interment will be at Halltown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell Uhls, Derrick Uhls, Chad Gregory, Auston Gregory, Marty Jones and Dustin Jones.
