She was born January 3, 1933 in Tremont to Carl and Luella (Lord) Hoerr.
Surviving are five daughters, Maggie (Roger) Hall, Gayle (Mark) Merritt and Debra (Jacob) Gillespie, all of Pekin, Evelyn Tinsley of Rockwood, Tennessee and Coral (Danny) Wisdon of Pink, Oklahoma; four sons, Richard (Angie) Rutledge, Terry Rutledge and Delbert (Cathy) Rutledge, all of Pekin and Fred (Linda) Rutledge of Springfield; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Goldie Green of Bristol, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son; one great-granddaughter; and six sisters.
A homemaker, Betty was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Pekin and enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to gospel music.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in rural Tremont.
