Mrs. Ruth Harwick died 3 miles southeast of Ipava, IL on Jan.22,1892,most likely of pneumonia, along with her granddaughter Alta Atheyage 18 and her son John Harwick. They all died within 6hrs. of each other and were all buried in the same grave atthe Lacey Cemetery in Ipava. The funerals were the same day and time. The funerals were the largest in attendance for many years. Three funerals for the same family buried in the same grave was very noteworthy for the time. All were very well respected in the community and will be missed greatly.
