Alfred Sa, 80, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Fresno, CA surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Tulare, the fifth of six children of Frank and Anna Sa, he was a lifelong resident of Tulare. Alfred was in the first graduating class of St. Aloysius Catholic School in 1949, he attended Tulare Union High School (Class of 1953), and then served in the Army from February 1955 to 1957. Alfred married Evelyn Gomes in September of 1958.

Alfred grew up on the family dairy and continued in the dairy business as an independent milk tester for over 46 years; he retired in 2004 at age 69. He loved to take his '57 Star Chief to car shows up and down the valley, he enjoyed spending time at the coast and being with family. He was involved in Amvets, T.D.E.S., Tulare Fatima, Knights of Columbus, Cabrillo Civic Club #12 and Small Town Cruizers.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Anna Sa, his brothers Frank Sa Jr., Leslie Sa, Manuel Sa and his sister Marjorie Freitas.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn; six children: daughter Janelle (Nelson) Parreira, daughter Arlene (Randy) Parreira, son Alfred Jr. (Barbara) Sa, daughter Jennifer (Kristopher) Pister, son Jeffrey (Aimee) Sa, and daughter Angela Fry; sixteen grandchildren: Danielle (Lucas) Shearer, Richelle & Krystal Parreira; John (Victoria) Parreira, Wade (Elvia) Parreira & Kyle Parreira; Katherine & Andrew Sa; Stark, Ann Marie, Kaiser & Veronika Pister; Peyton Sa; Miles, Makenzie & Justin Fry; and two great-grandchildren Makyden & Hansen Parreira.

In addition he is survived by brother Albert Sa, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered as a fun and loving husband, father, vovo, uncle and friend to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Alfred's memory to the St. Aloysius Building Fund, St. Aloysius Memorial Fund or charity of choice .

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Miller's Tulare Funeral Home, 151 North "H" Street, Tulare, Ca.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015, 6:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 East Pleasant Avenue, Tulare, Ca.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015, 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 East Pleasant Avenue, Tulare, Ca., with burial at North Tulare Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Miller's Tulare Funeral Home.
