Helen Yvonne Fetcenko, 78, of Philipsburg passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late George, Sr. and Susanna (Pirow) Sabol, born on July 2, 1935.
She married Mitchell Fetcenko on November 10, 1956 at the Nativity of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Chester Hill, PA. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2007.
Mrs. Fetcenko was a member of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Chester Hill, PA and a member of St. Ann's Guild. She was a mother, grandmother and homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a brother, Jacob Sabol; two sisters-in-law, Caroline Sabol and Dorothy Fetcenko; and five brothers-in-law, Alvin Lingenfelter, Tom and George Fetcenko, George Swansegar, and Andrew Verost.
Mrs. Fetcenko is survived by: two daughters, Karen Hughes & her husband Gregory of Philipsburg, PA and Nancy Fetcenko of Philipsburg, PA; two sisters, Jean Lingenfelter of Munson, PA, and Nancy Smeal & her husband Melvin of Morrisdale, PA; and two brothers, William Sabol of Morrisdale, and George Sabol Jr. & his wife Betty of Morrisdale, PA. She is also survived by: two granddaughters, Heather Burnisky & her husband Dustin of Milton, PA and Kyra Butler & her husband Lucas of Lewistown, PA; a great-granddaughter, Clair Burnisky of Milton; and a sister-in-law, Mary Sabol of Allport, PA.
A prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the funeral home, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Nativity of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Chester Hill, PA. The Very Rev. John C. Horosky will officiate.
Burial will be at the Nativity of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery in Chester Hill, PA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg,
Parastas will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
