JOHN P. SABOL, age 78. Our papa passed away peacefully on April 9, 2011 surrounded by his loving family and his best friend, Jerry Bennett. He was born on September 20, 1932 to the late Pauline Cahoj Sabol Kranitz and John Sabol. He was an infamous storyteller, a voracious reader, and a jack of all trades. He was in the seminary, the U.S. Navy, a bartender and a construction worker, to name a few. He was also a world traveler. Thanks to his daughter, Paula, he visited Europe and many states in the U.S. He was intelligent, had a quick wit, and a very wicked sense of humor. He had a big heart and was very generous to others. All of these traits and more will be greatly missed. Papa loved working his crossword puzzles and especially loved taking long walks through the woods with his Shelties, Jack and Jill. Papa is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Joan (nee Figurski); his daughters Traci Gibbons, Susan Schaedel and Paula Sabol; his sons by marriage Tim Gibbons and Rick Schaedel; his grandchildren, his pride and joy, Taylor and Amber Gibbons and Zackery Schaedel; his sister Violet Krance (Chuppy), of PA, who was like a mother to him; his brother Terry Kranitz (Joan) of CA; his best friend Jerry Bennett; his loving and devoted canine companions Jack and Jill; his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many good neighbors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Alex Kranitz and his sister Sandra Gettemy. Many thanks and appreciation goes to the Hospice House of the Western Reserve and especially to Mattie, Mary Anne, Stephanie, Sr. Marianne and volunteer Jodi.
