JOAN RITA SABOL, age 79. The angels had been sweetly calling our Mom's name and on Tuesday morning, December 27th, Joan Rita Catherine Sabol (nee Figurski) succumbed and became an angel herself. She was our Guardian Angel in life and can now continue in death. Her daughter Susan was at her bedside. Mom was born to the late Casey & Kazmira Figurski in their family home September 25, 1932, in Cleveland, OH. She loved to go gallivanting with her girls, shopping, visiting family and friends, crocheting, making beautiful wreaths and albums, sewing, drawing, and dancing. Her creativity was limitless. Mom had a beautiful singing voice and would make up lullabies and songs. In her twenties, Mom even recorded "Johnny" and ironically, many years later, married John Sabol on July 2, 1966. They were together 44 years until Dad's passing April 9th of this year; she was devastated and missed him deeply. Mom held many positions throughout her life, but the one she loved the most was that of caretaker. She was a selfless and committed person who was absolutely beautiful inside and out. Her door was always open to all. . .she had a heart of gold. Mom is survived by her beloved daughters and sons-in-love Traci and Tim Gibbons, Susan and Rick Schaedel, Paula Sabol and Michael Jablonski; her most treasured grandchildren, Taylor and Amber Gibbons and Zackery Schaedel; her sister Mary Jasper (George, deceased); her sister-in-law Violet Krance (Chuppy) of Pennsylvania, her brother-in-law Terry Kranitz (Joanie) of California; all her nieces, nephews, their families, and her very best friends, Rita Limoli and Jackie DiCaprio. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were Mom's brothers and their spouses, John and Mary Figurski; Stanley Figurski & his fiance Valeria; Ed and Kathleen Figurski; Herman and Virginia Figurski; her sisters and their spouses, Theresa and Dr. Lloyd McIlvaine; Helen and Ed Zamcheck; her most-precious Auntie Helen Gurecki; and of course, her cherished husband, John Sabol. Our deep appreciation goes to Menorah Park in Beachwood - especially all the Angels on the Marcus 2 Wing, who eased her suffering with laughs, and ensured her comfort and dignity; Dr. Gregory Yager and his staff who Mom trusted impeccably and thoroughly enjoyed seeing.
