Don's civilian career included being a featured grounds keeper in a landscaping magazine, because of his management of the Amphitheater School District's Grounds Department at Canyon Del Oro High School. He later worked as a master cabinetmaker at the district's Facility Support. Leukemia was the final battle of this life, as he prepared for his Eternal Life in Jesus' Name.
