Mrs. Kachman was born Oct. 3, 1918, in Glen Lyon, Pa., daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Wyda) Sabol. She lived in Waterbury since 1942 before moving to Naugatuck. Eleanor was also a member of the United Methodist Church of Naugatuck.
She is survived by a son, Richard and his wife, Maryjo Kachman, of Jonesboro, Ga.; three sisters, Matilda Jacobs of Trumbull, Irene Prichard of Pennsylvania, and Emma Churlik of Ohio; three grandchildren, Donald Sprague of Bristol, April Boham of Pennsylvania, and Richard Kachman Jr. of Georgia; three great-grandchildren, Sarah and Ashley Sprague of Naugatuck, and Joshua Boham of Pennsylvania; and her son-in-law, Carl Tartaglia of Naugatuck. She was predeceased by her daughter, Evelyn Tartaglia, three brothers, John, Edward and Paul Sabol, and a sister, Anna Swithers.
Arrangements: Funeral services for Eleanor will be private with entombment in Queen of Peace Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
