She was born in Estell Springs, Tenn., and had been a resident of Muncie for the past 29 years. Mrs. Parton was a member of the Willard Street Separate Baptist Church. She was formerly employed at Ball Brothers for 15 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George (Marie) Powell, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Stephens, and Mrs. Nancy McClain, all of Muncie, and Miss Betty Parton, at home; a son, James Parton, Muncie; six grandchildren; three brothers, Bobby and Louis Sanders, both of Muncie, and Steve Sanders, Huntsville, Ala.; and a half-brother, Martin Robertson, Huntsville, Ala.
Services will be at Parson Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. G.D. McAdams and Rev. John T. Conaway officiating. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery. Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary after 1 p.m. Friday.
