MUNCIE--Kent Sanders, 69, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. He was born in Muncie, IN, the son of Clyde R. and Grace (Argo) Sanders.
Mr. Sanders was a 1959 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Upon graduation, Kent served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman II from September of 1959 until May of 1962. He had worked in the printing industry for over 40 years in the Muncie and Indianapolis area. Kent was a member of the Westside Church of Christ, the Normal City Fly Fishing Club and had been an Eagle Scout. His hobbies included enjoying the outdoors, wood working, spending time with his grandchildren, and he was an avid fly fisherman.
Surviving are two sons, Todd Robert Sanders (wife-Natalie), Fortville, and Trent Sloan Sanders (wife-Joni), Albany; five grandchildren; one brother, Michael Sanders (wife-Susie), Richmond.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Larry Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and again from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
